Engineering services

Quality from a single source: the same team supports your project in every phase, or takes on the part you need.

How a project runs

  1. 01

    Consulting and feasibility

We go through the requirements, the technologies that fit and the risks, and write down an architecture and a plan.

  2. 02

    Design

System architecture, schematics, PCB layout, firmware, FPGA and mechanics, developed together so the parts fit.

  3. 03

    Prototype and test

Early prototypes to prove the design, then measurements and tests against the requirements.

  4. 04

    Industrialisation

Design for manufacturing and test, documentation, and support through certification with partner laboratories.

  5. 05

    Production

From the first small batch to series production, with our manufacturing partners.

What we do in-house

  • System engineering

Requirements, architecture and interfaces for systems that combine electronics, software and mechanics.

    • Requirements
    • Architecture
    • Interfaces
  • Hardware and PCB design

Digital and analog design, low-power and battery-powered systems, complex boards and miniature PCBs, layout and industrialisation.

    • Altium
    • Mentor
    • Cadence
  • Firmware

Embedded software from drivers to application, for STM32 and other microcontrollers, including real-time firmware for critical systems.

    • STM32
    • C
    • Real-time
  • FPGA design

Digital design and verification for FPGAs, from interfaces and buses to processing, for avionics and space.

    • Xilinx
    • Altera
    • Microsemi
    • VHDL
  • Radio and IoT

Sub-1 GHz and IoT links, sensors and gateways, with our own XLN-RF modules or third-party parts.

    • 868 MHz
    • Wireless M-Bus
    • LoRa
    • Sigfox
    • LTE-M
    • Bluetooth
  • Software and web

Applications that configure the device, collect its data and show it: desktop, web, iOS and Android.

    • Web
    • iOS
    • Android
  • Mechanics and 3D

3D drawing of enclosures and assemblies, and integration of boards, connectors and displays into the product.

    • 3D CAD
    • Enclosures
    • Integration
  • Safety-critical work

For airborne electronics we follow RTCA DO-254, the design assurance guidance for airborne electronic hardware. We have delivered avionics boards and FPGA designs for space applications.

  • Training

Courses for engineering teams on STM32 firmware development and on FPGA design.

  • Partners

For what we do not do in-house we work with partners we know: industrial designers, specialists in plastics and materials, certification laboratories and research centres.
