Evos components
Exelen’s Evos system is composed of several modules:

Description
The EvosMeter is the multipurpose module able to monitor or control many different devices.
The type of input that the EvosMeter module can record include: electrical pulses (e.g. from an electricity or water meter), temperature from a PT1000 probe, a relay input, an alarm button, and others. The EvosMeter can also control devices such as public lights, door locks, relay and others.
The EvosMeter can be powered either from a battery (up to 10 years lifetime) or from a DC power source.
The EvosMeter exists in the following variants:
- EvosMeter-OMS for short/medium-range WM-Bus/OMS wireless transmission to an EvosGateway,
- EvosMeter-Sigfox for long-range transmission through the Sigfox service,
- EvosMeter-LoRA for long-range transmission through a LoRA service.
- EvosMeter-27dB for long range transmission.
The EvosAmbient is aimed at measuring room ambient parameter (humidity, temperature, light). It provides the same power supply (battery or DC source) and communication variants (OMS, 27dB, Sigfox and LoRA) as the EvosMeter.
The EvosRepeater module is used to extend the transmission range of EvosMeter-OMS and EvosAmbient-OMS modules when transmission is unreliable due to obstacles (e.g. for underground installations).
This module exists in two variants:
- EvosRepeater-OMS
- EvosRepeater-Sigfox
The EvosGateway is responsible for collecting data from all the EvosMeter-OMS and EvosAmbient-OMS modules in proximity and upload it to the cloud-based software platform. The EvosGateway can also collect data from any WM-Bus compatible third-party module.
Uplink communication can be either through GMS/3G or through LAN/Ethernet. It is also possible to use LAN/Ethernet as the primary link and GSM/3G for redundancy.
The EvosGateway can also perform data filtering before uploading to optimize bandwidth and battery usage, and thus reduce operating costs. It can be powered either from a battery (up to 10 years lifetime) or from a 115-230VAC power source (with optional redundancy with a battery).
The EvosDongle allows to wirelessly configure and monitor EvosMeter and EvosAmbient modules from a PC or tablet. It is a very compact USB device and requires no device driver installation.
